Life Together at Beacon Church
You weren’t meant to be alone. God created you for a true relationship with him and true relationships with others. Living life together is how we grow in knowledge and love for God.
At Beacon Church, we make disciples of Jesus Christ through friendship with God and one another. A disciple is a person who is dependent on Jesus and does what Jesus would do. Home Groups are the way we grow as disciples at Beacon Church. Committing to meeting together in these small groups is the starting point for living life together.
What Should I Consider Before Joining a Home Group?
There are two things we ask people to consider when they’re interested in joining a Home Group: availability and proximity.
Availability: We think you could meet some of your closest friends in the Home Group you join. Developing these friendships will require consistency. What’s your schedule like? Do you keep some of your evenings free? Can you commit to meeting with the same group of people weekly?
Proximity: Life together in community is best experienced in proximity. Do you live near the people in the group you’d like to join? The further you are from your friends, the harder it is to spend time with one another. We encourage you to find a group close to home, and if there isn’t one - start a new one!
