Overview

Position Summary

As the Director of Groups and Care, you will serve Beacon Church (BC) by leading Home Group Deacons (HGDs) and Home Group Leaders (HGLs) to participate in fulfilling BC’s mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ through friendship with God and friendship with one another. The Director of Groups and Care will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a culture of Christ-Centered care in BC’s Home Group ministry, training BC members to care for one another. The Director of Groups and care will also be responsible for recruiting, training, and caring for HGLs, managing the process of connecting BC members to group life, and overseeing either men’s or women’s ministry at BC, corresponding with the Director’s gender.

Qualifications

Embrace Beacon Church’s Statement of Faith, Membership Covenant, Mission, and Values. A bachelor's degree is required; a master's degree is preferred. A background or certification in biblical counseling is beneficial but not required. Three years of full-time ministry experience is beneficial but not required. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Must have experience using Planning Center and Google Workspace (G Suite).
